GCAP Climate Cafe - Thursday, February 19, 2026, 12-1:30pm, Student Success Center, 112

Our GCAP Climate Cafe is a facilitator-trained space where we will guide our attendees to get to know one another, do icebreakers, and eventually get to talking about the environment, how it is affecting our ecology, and most importantly our emotions such as eco-anxiety.

Know Your Rights: Inland Empire Labor and Community Center (IELCC) and Amazon Teamsters - Thursday, February 19, 2026, 3pm-4:30pm, HUB 355

This is part 2 to a previous event ASUCR held last quarter. The Office of External Affairs will be collaborating with IELCC and Amazon Teamsters to put on a "Know Your Rights" workshop and teach students the benefits of being in a Union. Students will also gain tools on how to organize in their own spaces and learn about advocacy work outside the University.

Meet the Mayor with Patricia Lock Dawson - Thursday, February 19, 2026 6p-7pm, HUB 221 (Senate Chambers)

The purpose of the event is to celebrate her accomplishments in being the second woman to hold the position in Riverside history and an alumna of UCR. It is our students' hope that Mayor Lock Dawson will share her time as a Highlander, her journey to City Council, and opportunities available in Riverside to post-grads. There will be a Q+A portion that are composed of questions determined directly from the elected officials/student leaders of ASUCR. The questions will be filtered and chosen prior to event to be shared with the campus community.

GCAP x R'Garden Beautification - Friday, February 20, 2026, 10am-12pm, R'Garden

This event will be hosted at the R'Garden and we will be painting their cinderblocks to create a more inviting and beautiful space for plants to thrive!
