About this Event
Truth, Memory, and the Land is a series that examines scholarship on Native American history. The focus is on telling the truth and discussing memory. In Winter Quarter, we will be reading the article "'Reclamation Road': A Microhistory of Massacre Memory in Clearlake, California". We will answer the question: how are memorials produced and how do they silence historical memory of genocide?
