About this Event
1393 University Ave., Riverside, CA 92507
Bees are talking. Scientists are learning to listen. Join UC Riverside entomologist Barbara Baer-Imhoof, co-founder of the Center for Integrative Bee Research (CIBER), as she unravels the secret language of honey bees. Discover how bees live, communicate, and defend themselves against threats, and hear about how scientists are working toward a Rosetta Stone for bee language. What could this mean for the future of these pollinators who are responsible for every third bite of food you eat?
And because everything is better with a bit of hands-on fun, attendees will — while supplies last — get to roll their own beeswax candle while enjoying complimentary appetizers, thanks to UC Riverside and its local, six-legged collaborators. Attendance is free, seating is limited.
