Semana de la Mujer Exhibit: "Descansamos el cuerpo y no el alma (We rest our bodies, not our souls): Using our voices and memories to tell our stories”

Chicano Student Programs in collaboration with the UCR Library is hosting our fourth annual archive and collective memory exhibit for our annual Semana de la Mujer 2026 program! The exhibit will be on the first floor of the Tomás Rivera Library for the entire month of March (Women's History Month), and will highlight and honor UCR Chicana/Latina femmes and mujeres/femmes in our lives who have shaped us.

During the Semana de la Mujer program, we will launch the exhibit with a Collective Memory Exhibit Reception on Monday, February 23rd from 12pm-2:30pm. The event will be on the 1st floor of the Tomás Rivera Library. The reception welcomes the public to learn more about the herstories of the collective memory submissions.

All are encouraged to attend. The event is open to the public and free.
